Stone Water Digital builds websites, online stores and mobile apps for South African businesses — and produces the photography, design and social content that makes them worth visiting.
Who we are
Stone and water
Stone is the part that holds — solid code, a site that stays up, a brand that still makes sense in three years. Water is the part that moves — content, campaigns, the things that have to keep changing to stay useful.
Most businesses get sold one and not the other. They end up with a beautiful site nobody visits, or a busy Instagram account pointing at a website that takes eight seconds to load. We do both, which means we can actually be held responsible for whether the thing works.
We are deliberately small. You talk to the person doing the work, quotes are fixed before we start, and if something is not going to help your business we will say so rather than quietly bill for it.

Build, photography, content and design under one roof. No coordinating three suppliers who each blame the other two.
Built to be fast
Lean code, compressed images, no plugin sprawl. Speed is a ranking factor and a conversion factor, so we treat it as part of the brief.
You own everything
Your domain, your hosting, your accounts, your files. We are happy to keep working with you — we just do not hold anything hostage to make sure of it.
Local and reachable
A South African studio on South African time, quoting in rands, who answers a WhatsApp within the working day.

From first call to launch

Discover
A proper conversation about what the business needs to achieve, who it sells to, and what is currently in the way. You get a written scope and a fixed quote before anyone starts building.

Design
We map the pages and design the key screens first, so you can react to something real. Revisions happen here, on a design, where they are cheap — not halfway through development.

Build
Development on a staging site you can watch progress on. Regular check-ins, no month-long silences, and testing across the browsers and devices your customers actually use.

Launch & grow
We handle the go-live, the analytics setup and the handover training. Then we stay on for content, updates and campaigns if you want us to — or hand you the keys entirely.
